Markarian's Chain

Another "there's film in the camera so why not"

Apparently there's a writers strike in the story department, solidarity.

John,
Classic image with plenty to gaze at. Framing has maximised all the fuzzies so well done on that and very well processed- magestic space field.

It always amazes me just how many galaxies (and by extension how many stars) are out there.

At first glance, there's not a lot to see and I think most non-astro people would pass over such an image. (Thank you Hubble for all your images, but they do raise people's expectations to insane levels.)

Yet with some moments of looking and contemplation, you come to realise just how big space is, and how utterly insignificant Earth is when viewed at this scale.

Thanks Anthony and V
Some efforts were made to keep the saturation somewhat civil

I agree whole heartedly. The sheer awe and wonder that comes from understanding what the fuzzies are in this wee spot in the sky.

Holy smoke! Couldn't take my eyes off the photo. So much details, and deftly processed. Love it.

Beautiful image, Dude-san. It's one of those images that I can look at for a long time and find something new wherever my eye takes me. I have about 4hrs of Markarian's sitting on an ASIAIR+ but the subs will let deleted as they were taken under a full moon and look terrible! Your image looks like it was taken under excellent conditions. Alex
