The Chook - IC2944

Can't say I've ever been able to make out the resemblance of this nebula to a Running Chicken, but anyway, it does make for an appealing imaging target. I spent a few hours on it this week.


Approx 8Hrs integration in S/H/O, 30 mins of RGB stars.


Esprit 100

Thanks, yes, I run BlurXterminator over the linear, starless data before processing.

Yeah that is a killer shot! Love love love the colours. I did one last year I was proud of but this one is so much better. What was the combination in the end?
And where's the high-res version?!

Cheers! If by combination you mean the pixelmath ratios, I dunno, I don't use pixelmath/pixinsight for the colour combine, I do it in APP and just play with the sliders until I'm happy with it.


I'll chuck a high res on astrobin later.
