Finally some sun 13 April 2023

After 9 days of clouds and rain, we finally had an unexpected sunny morning. With such a break we have ended up busy doing other things so it was enjoyable to get back and do some imaging. The seeing was an average of 2.6 arc seconds with a standard deviation of 1.0
We were a bit out of practice and not everything ended up that well set up. We took our usual two panel Ha mosaic and a 393nm full disk.
We experimented with a mosaic of four 72ED Ha images which ICE didn't want to stitch so we had to do it manually with a sub optimal outcome.

We also tried for the first time ever running our 6" SCT at F46 which is definitely pushing things and the seeing was not good enough to support it but the 540nm images are kind of passable.

Lots of small sunspots making up those groups Peter and Clare.
There is an interesting circular patch just to the right of centre on the Ha images (AR3280)? Regards, John W.

Yes, an interestingly shaped active region (it is AR3280), definitely a bit different. It has developed a bit more today.
