Various galaxies using FSQ106

Long time lurker, thought I finally post some of my images Various galaxies taken over the past few months

All taken with my FSQ106-EDXIII
ASI533MC Pro - Astronomik luminance filter
OAG with ASI120Mini
ZWO AM5
Home observatory - Sydney suburb Bortle 7
Processed in Pixinsight, BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator, StarXterminator

NGC2997 (taken over a few nights around 17th Mar 2023)
Heavily cropped so looks a bit soft
100x300s subs

M83 (taken over 2 nights around 21st Feb 2023)

Nice collection of Galaxy images there with some good detail from your Sydney Obs
Not sure about the colours though ?

Thanks John/Martin/Dean,


The raw images I took had significant light pollution gradient and very flat with hardly any colour, most likely because of using only luminance filter in a Bortle 7 location. I followed various youtube videos on processing, splitting the RGB channels to stretch and bring out the colours, I think I haven't been able to get my colours right, plus I'm red/green colour blind .. LOL

Really nice images Victor well done! Probably just need to run a colour calibration to sort that out- I use Astro Pixel Processor which works ok but PI has its own process that would sort that out easily too. Look forward to seeing more of your images!
