Took advantage of some clear skies and reasonable seeing early yesterday morning, to do some lunar imaging of some of my favourite regions.
Heq5, 180mm SW Mak, ZWO290mm, 23a & UV/IR filters .
Great shots!! They’re all fantastic! I really love how you’ve retained a very natural look but lots of detail too. Which ones are with the 23a filter? I had a visual session a few days ago and have a few videos I’ve still got to process.
We are suckers for good moon images Jeff. These are all great, the close up detail is excellent!
We must get back to doing our Lunar 100 - do need some clear nights however
Thanks for the kind comments guys, it is always pleasing to aim the scope at the moon when nearly full, to catch some of the less imaged features and to have steady seeing. I should label what they are, Aristarchus and Bailly are well known craters but having the lunar libration such that Bailly is as open to view that is as possible to get and to be clear skies too, is a combination that only happens a few times a year.
