Eta duo band

Adding to the abundant Eta season of images

Image link here

Seems like I'm taking baby steps for each exposure run which have been consistently aborted by cloud cover and raindrops.
SII data is planned but La Niņa says not yet

That said I'm quite pleased with the needle-like stellar footprints across several degrees of sky.

The field could have been a tad wider but an accidental camera rotation between Ha and OIII exposure sequences required a slight crop after image registration.

Calibration was with MaxIm, alignment and stack with PixInsight, duo-band composite in Photoshop CC.

Very nice Peter especially with the total exposure time. Hope the weather improves for you soon. CS, Mat

Thanks guys...best not talk about the weather

With the the F3.6 reducer the little Taka makes easy work of extended objects. The resolution is not too shabby either, a
as the attached native resolution centre crop shows quite well.
I would not have thought at FL a 360mm that many of the fine details (e.g.fickle finger) would be resolved, but they are easy to spot.

It will be nice to eventually get some SII so I can re-map the image colours away from the current fairy-floss palette
