NINA help

hello members my brother and i are having tremendous difficulty setting up NINA
though we have watched many youtube videos, they all up and running without any explanation of how to get there
we have downloaded it but is there a correct version to do so?
we have downloaded atsap(?) for the plate solving driver but nothing seems to work
any help in a workflow chart would be greatly appreciate
i am scared coz my brother wants to chuck it all in the bin and not do astro again
NINA looks so fantastic, simple (lol) and quick for polar alignement

Pat, I'm in Perth. It sounds like fundamental setup which is probably easier to face to face as there's quite a bit to configure. PM me - can meet up in Dome cafe somewhere and can demonstrate.

Correct version? If you don't want to constantly update the beta version (I do, it's worth it), then just download the 2.1 release here. Don't click the Beta download if you don't want it.
https://nighttime-imaging.eu/download/

For ASTAP, you need to download a star database for it to plate solve, then point ASTAP to that database.
Download the H18 star database here:
https://www.hnsky.org/astap.htm

Once you've download it, extract it to:
C> Program Files > Astap
That folder will look like my first image when completed.

Then, go to ASTAP, click the Epsilon button (second image), then navigate to Alignment and select the Star Database as H18 (third image)

Open NINA, Navigate to Options, Plate Solving, and setup Astap as your Plate Solver (fourth image) Point NINA to the location of the Astap installer (if you haven't changed the defaults, it'll be the same as my screenshot below)

If you've already done all of this, make sure you've got your focal length setup correctly in NINA for your scope (Options > Equipment > Telescope)
