Made to measure

I've been testing, organizing and starting to pack gear for a somewhat epic drive to Exmouth for the eclipse there in April.

The mount is now safely stored in a Pelican 1560 storm case, but what to do with the counterweights?

Pictured is my perhaps novel, but cheap & effective solution.

A scuba-diving weight carry bag!

Just luggable at 21kg with the three weights, but more importantly made for the job and doesn't take up much room.

I had a spare smaller Pelican case that fits my CW bar and 3 weights. On wheels, two handles and stacks. The DDM 60 has screw in CW shaft so it has to be removed when the mount is dismantled.

Another good solution but I'm taking my Ap155 to the eclipse and, excuse the pun, space is at a premium.
