Border Stargaze 2007 Official Launch

Hi all

Just a quick update: The Astronomical Society of Albury Wodonga is holding its official launch of Border Stargaze 2007 on May 22 2007 at 11.30 am.

For those that are not familiar with Albury - it will be held at QEII Square and will be launched in conjunction with Albury City Council and Greater Hume Shire. Both are excellent supporters of the event. We will have local radio, newspaper plus WIN and Prime will be in attendance - so is going to be a BIG morning.

I will post photos of the launch next week.

The Information Pack will be updated with what "eats" will be available at the resort. We have been fortunate to secure the services of the Mullengandra P&C who will be supplying the following meals: (just a teaser to wet the appetite). These are exceptional prices!

Friday 6pm – 8:30pm
Steak Sandwich $ 5.50 With choice of coleslaw or green salad
Hamburger $ 5.50 With choice of coleslaw or green salad
Sausage in bread $ 1.50

Steak & Salad $ 6.50

Saturday 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Roast Beef Roll $ 5.50 With gravy
Roast Plate $ 8.00 With vegetables and gravy

Children under 10 $ 5.50

Saturday 9pm – 11pm
Soup & Bread Per cup Rate will be per 250ml cup (TBA).

Dont forget Breakie is FREE on the Sunday for registered guests only!

Also we will be including the list of prizes that have generously been donated for the lucky door prize, and more....

Cheers Petra

Sounds great, Petra! All the best for the launch - would love to get over there for it, but I'm a bit tied up at the moment. Looking forward to the updated Information Pack, and, of course, the Border Stargaze!

Cheers -

Hi David
I must have missed you by minutes, how is the adapter .

Thank you for the best wishes - I will leave the "in front of camera stuff" to David Thurley (Pres of ASAW) and David C - project manager for BSG.

Yes, I will have to ensure David C is on his best behaviour.

Cheers Petra

Well done Petra & all! Glad everything went well for you. Didn't get the Border Mail today, but here's the link to the on-line article, if anyone wants to have a read:

Hi Rob

Many thanks - a big pat on the back goes to all organisers and sponsors that got this event off the ground. It is great to see this in the border region and the response has been fantastic.

For those that are yet to make up their minds - register early as possible as spots are filling fast.

Cheers Petra
