Jupiter - May 16 - Canberra

Thought I'd get in a few sneaky AVIs before this cloud belt passes through.

C9.25, ToUcam ProII, 3x barlow.

Pretty average, really. Althought better than I thought it was going to be.

There's a fair bit of star twinkle out there tonight.

Very nice Matt, old Jove seems to have gone a bit quiet in it's storm belt or is that in another area.

Top stuff

Thanks ron and Ric.

Yeah, Ric, the SEB has sort of faded and thinned a little during this apparition, although there's still plenty of activity.

The NEB has lots of rifts at the moment, so it's anything but quiet.

The good thing about Jupiter is it's always changing.

Hi Matt, that's the beauty of Jupiter. Next weeks images can be so different,
I can see why you enjoy imaging it so much.

Cheers

Unlikely David.

Canberra's not the best as far as Winter conditions go.

Too great a day/night temp variation and quite unfriendly in terms of general conditions.

I'll still be out there, though
