The wet has turned dry in Darwin

Hi Guys some nine months ago I planned and organized a trip to Darwin to once again experience the wet and those magical storms and do some real photography

Well I arrived here on the 4th January and am located on the Nightcliff Foreshore, and to date not a storm to be seen, it rained a little earlier and now the sky's are blue the sun is shining and not a hint of a storm cloud in the near future

Extremely unusual as January is supposed to be the pick of the months for some real action.

I have been here before and usually it is all going off like a house full of crackers.

That would be right I organise and pay for all this for 5 weeks and go home with nothing

So to all you Northern Territory people, what is going on

Leon

The Universe is merely providing you with the opportunity of before and after shots...opportunity knocks once so listen.

Hi Leon,

sorry to know your trip is not as fruitful
as you would have hoped.

My good freind in Darwin said she
is over the rain, enough...that really says something.

Here is a link for you and others that may find
lightning chasing of interest, and is Darwin oriented. 08.01.2023.

Fingers crossed things get worse so they get better....
.......If that makes any sense ?!!

Lightning storms in the Top End are unlike anywhere else in Australia.
What makes them so frequent and dramatic? - ABC News

Take care, keep safe and well.

Paul.
