Great Orion Nebula

It has been a long time since I've managed to undertake any deep sky imaging. Managed to get out and do some testing of new equipment which will hopefully make it easier to get out, image and capitalise on the limited time i get (azeq6 - and a new reducer/flattener -

I also threw on a new Skywatcher ED72 on top of the 130mm refractor and gave it a whirl to see if i could get some additional widefield shots while i was out and about. Very windy conditions as well as neighbours lights going on and off (no LP filter in the ed72 pure broad band).

Probably around 2.5-3hrs, could do with a lot more. Looks like tilt with the reducer/flattener in the left side. needs more data and less tilt also gave that pixinsight a first real go, but it ended up being a combo of pixinsight and my traditional processing in the end due to PI crashing in just my Luminance pre processing.

was fairly torturous having multiple clear moonless nights with non stop gustiness!

Cheers

Very nicely done, Russell, especially the wide-angle shot.
