Iceman

Have the whole talk all on video. Very interesting and a great perspective on things.

I will transfer this to DVD in the next few weeks when I get time.

Next meeting Friday 27th May.

Ving,

it sure was a good discussion and presentation. It is great when you get an articulate person who actually know what they are talking about. The discussions covered cosmology, big bang, theology, and telescopes. But not all in that order.

What a mug shot!.....Anyway it was a great talk he certainly knows his stuff I came away with a few things that night. His talk was mainly about how to find these supernovae and I said to tornado33 that I pick him as a witness so he should have the phone right next to his bed with his camera strapped around his neck in case of one of my discoveries
I also enjoyed question time towards the end. I personally spoke with Rev.Bob Evens later on and told him that it felt like a sermon at the end because people were asking him questions about creation and if the star of Bethlehem was a supernova.

Houghy let me know when you get it on to DVD.

thats right Orion,

the only argument the whole night was that the Quality built japanese made Pentax *istDS was far superior to tornado33's Taiwanese cheap plastic (made from recycled PET bottles thats the lenses) Canon 300d (d for destructive)camera!

think we need to form a Canon 300D support group? how long will the cheap plastic lenses hold up under this barrage?Even recycled PET bottles have to give way some day

I think tornado33 knows the real truth.

The body of the camera is made of recycled tyres!

but on the lighter side of the issue, the pentax wins!
