10th Dec Sun

10th Dec Sun.

Good conditions today with a blue sky all over. The first image (yellow) is of the sunspots at 540 nm wavelength (you can compare the movement of the sunspots with my image of 8th Dec also in this forum). The prominent group is still AR3153 in the SW sector. The second and third images are at 656 nm wavlength (Halpha) - they show the SW sector with AR3153 and AR 3157 in view. Notice the detached prominence in the Ha images. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor/herschel wedge (for 540 nm) and a Lunt 100 Ha scope (for 656 nm). Thanks for viewing.
