M31 Andromeda

Andromeda Galaxy this is not my data 1hr data ASTROPIX practice files 8 x CR2 frames 181mb stacked in DSS saved as a TIF file, then I processed the TIF is PS CS2
Technical Data about the Images

  • All are Canon CR2 raw files shot with an unmodified Canon 700D (T5i).
  • All lights were shot with an AT65Q at f/6.5 at 420mm focal length.
  • All lights, darks and bias frames were shot at ISO 800.

Very cool Trevor. I had a copy of the book "The Universe" perhaps a 70's edition that had a colour, Palomar Schmidt, photo (if I recall correctly) that looked uncannily like this image
