Thumbs down Celestron GC-5 drive problem

Hi All,

My GC-5 mount has developed a fault in the dec drive. It will only drive at the motor's maximum rate. It now drives faster than it used to on it's fastest setting. The dec drive is obviously faster than the RA even when the RA is a max rate. It appears that all regulation of the dec motor has been lost. I've tried unplugging and replugging all connectors on both PCBs and I've reverse the cable from the main housing up to the dec motor housing. No effect. There are no heat marks or any other sign of damage on the PCBs.

Does anyone have an idea what has happened? More importantly, who should I contact about a potential repair? Any other bright ideas??

Thanks for any help,
David
