Jupiter Wednesday 19 October 2022

With a forecast for good seeing and low jet stream we decided to take a chance and catch Jupiter low before the GRS rotated off. This appears to have been a mistake as others reported that the seeing started poor on the night and improved later on. So out of many videos this is the best of a bad lot and we didn't go back to any more imaging as we got distracted looking at some star clusters with a different scope and never went back to it. Ah well, you win some, you lose some

Thanks Russ and David.
As it turns out from speaking to some others, the promised good seeing conditions didn't deliver later in the night anyway so we probably got as good as we were going to get anyway.

Nice work with what you had P&C

At least you got the GRS. I was too busy concentrating on transit timing I forgot that the GRS was earlier in the night.

I have a crap load of data from the 17th, 18th & 19th to go through. I hope one of these nights give me something good.
