Guide camera

Has anyone had a look at this guide camera?

I have had a look, Terry, but i want the experts on guiding cameras to give their views on it, as i"m looking for a guide camera to run with the G11 for astro imaging.

Hi

I have one on order, will arrive in about 3 weeks or so, specs look good. I will be running some test against an ST-4 after it arrives and will post the results in due course.

This is the QHY guidecam sold by CCD Labs in the US.

I am more interested in it as a Planet camera, but waiting on results on planets. So far all that has been shown are moon shots.

There are a few posts on that application in the CCDLAds Yahoo group but it would appear not to be great for that app, there is a cam using the same chip though that is optimised for that purpose:

I've ordered a QHY black and white version of this camera to use as a guide camera. I'll let you all know what it's like when it arrives.
