Cone Nebula - 17 hours with 10" CDK

Hi everyone,

The Cone Nebula from the ASV's LMDSS in Heathcote, Victoria over several months.

17 hours total made up of 11 hours of Luminance, 2 hours each of R,G,B. 10" f/6.8 CDK, 1600mm camera and AP900 mount.

A challenge in colour balance, saturation, sharpening and contrast.

Processed in Pixinsight with some adjustments in Photoshop.

Clear skies.

That looks very nice indeed John, lovely colours and textures, all looks about right to me that wouldn't get that high up from central VIC either, so extra nice work there

Can you put a larger version at your flickr page so we can really enjoy it?

great job dude! on your photo, and getting the chips to fall in life where you can afford a wonderful setup like that and enjoy it at a nice dark site. super jealous
