Sun 2nd March - with SPOD

Hi all,

Some sun shots dodging between the clouds.
would have been a good day for some timelapse but no chance.
130mm refractor and Daystar Quark

Great catches between the clouds Russell. A good day for you. Is the Quark the Chromosphere version?

Wonderful images Russ

The close up in the first image definitely has that Rhesus monkey thing going on.

Yes it is the Chromosphere version.

actually my first run using the proper camera connection and the daystar camerea tilt adjuster. made it much easier to get rid of the newtons rings. (was using the 1.25" connector on the qhy163 before that).

hi JA - absolutely the army of the 12 monkeys have been there (12 Monkeys reference .

Good work getting anything worthwhile around the clouds yesterday. Great images. We took a heap of video and ditched the lot!
