Sun images from Melbourne 22/2/2022

Another quietish day on the sun. We tried a few different things today using a different camera, the ASI224MC. Being a smaller chip, we cannot get a full disk using the Lunt 40 but it does give a slightly closer view. It has a lower resolution but can capture at a much higher frame rate than the ASI178MC which allows us to stack a much lower percentage of frames, hopefully beating some of the atmospherics and wind. Probably all ends up about the same, but its interesting to try.

We also used the same camera on a 6" SCT with a white light filter for a close up of ARs 2955 and 2954.
