His party is tomorrow, should be good fun - 4 other kids here playing star wars games, lego star wars on the X-Box, a pinata made to look like Darth Vader, etc

It's funny really, I didn't pick your dad as a Star Wars type as I've always thought of him as a Trekkie - more a Battle Star Galactica than a Millennium Falcon.
So long as you had a beam on your dial on your birthday I reckon I'd be correct. Enjoy being eight, Jacob, I figure you'll love it.

Saturday was his birthday, so lots of presents and lego building, lunch with the grandparents, then more lego building.
Yesterday was his party, 4 friends over - all dressed as darth vader. Lots of light sabre battles, a jedi training obstacle course, a pinata made to look like darth maul (which they subsequently bashed to bits ) and a bit of Return of the Jedi to finish. A good weekend!
