I'm the first one that are using to image the sun in continuum band and colorizing the final image using a kind of orange-like colors, instead of the monochrome solar images.
I noted that our eyes have the best response on the contrasts in this spectral range.

I like the orange colour, it gives me a sense of fire, warmth, something that I associate with the Sun. The funny thing however is that when you quickly glance at the sun with your naked eyes (something you should not do), the actual Sun appears silver to white as in incredible brightness.

I got a glimpse of this spot yesterday but it's cloudy and wet here now, and for the rest of the weekend by the forecast. I know it doesn't sound right, but I hope the rain continues... long enough anyway to help break the drought!

I just have some pauses in the clouds here. Today, with a great wind, I tried again and by lucky I have had some minutes of open in the clouds with a good seeing.

We have rain for the next week, but I'm happy about that. We have had a drought for the last 10 years and it looks like this may be the end of it.

Here's a new image of today with clear sky, windy and a good seeing (not exclellent but enough by my Sauron 14").
About the colors: I tested so many kind of curve with PS2 and at least I founded the right that doesn't appear too yellow and not so red.
I use PS2 to finalize the images, so the final unsharped image obtaind with Iris is passed to PS2 via .fit and then I convert in RGB16bit, add the colorizing curve (I named it Halfa by similarity) and then I finalize the image with some other little UM or gauss.

Yeah a great rupture. I tuned the UM just on fine detail and I have holded the levels in a way to obtain the inside of the rupture.
