Galaxies w/QHY8

Hi All,
Tried a few Galaxy shots with the QHY8 on the ED80, results herewith, these would be better from the LX200-10", but as the Camera was on the ED80 I decided try and see what would happen, the detail is quite good considering that the objects are small (16 x 4 arc. min. for ngc4565 Etc.) Ill do them with the LX200 soon I hope.

Galaxies ngc-4565, ngc-4945, ngc-5128, M-104, Markarians Chain (plus a few small Galaxies in with them), Pix submitted are zoomed and cropped, as otherwise they would be very small.

all 6 Min. Exp. at ISO800 (no DF removed) guided.

cheers....Jim

nice work, although some of the shots look a little grey? maybe it could have been the processing?

it looks like a great imaging device

6 Minute exposures, and you still have detail and definition.
80mm to boot as well..

Hi Jim

Yeah,It's a good idea doing some short exposure because It helps you with your composition when you decide to put in some serious exposure time on these favourates.
I think I like the shot of NGC 4565 the best !
I've never shot this one before because I felt It was too low,but your shot is sharp so I might reconsider...It is a favourate.
Anyway,I'm looking forward to seeing some longer exposures on some of these galaxies so we can also see more of what these CCD's are capable of.
