Trainspotting - some highlights from Steamfest 2007

I like trains, but haven't a clue as to what type or what they do or how they are built. but steamfest brings out the kid in everyone. I took the family on a trainspotting jaunt to catch a few puffing billy's in action not far from where I live.

I love trains Dave, great photos, I especially like the overhead shots.

it was a last minute decision to go and do this, my son loved it when the 3801 passed directly underneath him, and the noise and smells of the burning coal and steam......arrrr it twas great

Nice shots h0ughy . It's good to see you have some mainline steam action over there. We haven't had any in SA for over 10 years, since the track was converted to standard guage. It would be good if 3801 did a run to Adelaide .

Was it grey and smoggy there because of the trains?

Come on hOughty, Gomez Adams, from the Adams family, he had a great train set and a passion for blowing them up with dynamite.

Sorry mate, looking at your picture I had you down for a youthful early 50's, perhaps you are a tad younger and didn't see the classic 'after-school' television program, it was up there with Zorro, Superman and the Munsters
