M104 Sombrero

very poor conditions due to controlled burns in the Dandenongs over the past few days.
single 10 min exposure with LX200 @ F/6.3
hand guided with ED100
Canon 350D @ iso 800

Hi Mick,

That's a great shot. I don't think I have even eye balled the Sombrero. I think I've worn out that piece of sky looking for it.

Of course the only EP that I have is a 30mm with a 2X Barlow. I guess I will have to upgrade my EP 'collection'.

Very nice image.
It's turned out quite good considering the conditions you experienced.
The central dust lane is very sharp
