Teleskop Express

Just enquiring whether anyone has used Teleskop express in Germany for purchasing telescopes etc...
I’ve got my eye on a TS Photo Advanced 10” f5 Carbon Fibre Newtonian for next year. It only weighs 13kg , has a quality locally manufactured CF tube , includes GSO mirrors and dual speed focuser which I use at the moment

Any advice on the above scope or similar Newtonian from TE
Also what are they like to deal with in regards to -
Delivery costs
Delivery times
Customs etc
Customer service in general

Thanks

Hi Martin,
If you haven’t done so, reach out to Diego and Paul at Sideral Trading/Astroworks. They are based in Melbourne and are great with deal with.
Cheers

Thanks Bo
I know Paul and Diego
I bought my NexDome Obs from them last year , nice guys and great to deal with

I’ve seen their Klaus Helmerich carbon fibre tubes and they are certainly an option but stock is hard to get

Teleskop Express hold good stock at the moment but again I’m only making early enquiries at the moment

Cheers
Martin

I have purchased scopes from Teleskop Express several times, and have found them to provide excellent service and fast dispatch (as they stock just about everything). Shopping from Germany .can be expensive for a big scope like that Newt, as size of the box is a big consideration. I can say they pack items extremely well, always triple boxed, with real shipping boxes, and the internal scopes boxes are usually suspended in foam beads inside an outer shipping box. I have bought four scopes from them, never had a problem. I would always chose UPS from them, as UPS handles all inbound clearance and is extremely fast ( sometimes faster than Australian retailers). For example one week from Teleskop Express to my door. If your up for Any inbound charges, like GST, UPS will ring you as its on the last leg of the flight inbound and ask you to pay the fee via credit card, then it sails through customs. As you can see, I highly recommend them.

I've purchased many relatively small (not telescopes) items from TS over the last few years and cannot fault them at all - excellent service. They are very responsive and prompt.

Also a few people I know personally purchased telescopes from them. Delivery was the same as for Australia - with UPS. Everything was fine as well. I'm thinking about buying 130 APO next year from them as prices in Australia are unreasonably high.
