Collimation

Is there no manual to give clues on collimating it ? I would imagine you would have to collimate it every time you put it together as I expect there would be a bit of tolerance with the trusses for assembly. Looks great though ... I would love to see through one.

G'Day,
Nice scope m8,when you do get it collimated, what I done with mine when I took it down to go to Ilford,I made a mark on the side of the mirror, and one on the box,so when I put it all together again I just had to line the 2 marks up and it was usually spot on.just make sure that the spots are fine (small and narrow) but still visible.Hope your back can stand the strain
Cheers
Arthur

I have put wheels on it so do not have to lift it it is way to heavy for my neck and back so hope the wheel work. One thing i have had a problem with is that when i put the wheels on i need to cut the base so i can gett it in and out of the door way . As is it does not fit thew the door.

Why not put another 2 wheels on it sideways so that you can tilt it over on it's side and guide it through the door, then once through return it to the normal plane and continue on.

It's like those fancy car drivers that drive on two wheels only after hitting a ramp, that actual theory might work for you. 6 wheels may well be better than 4 in this case.

I think i have got the collimation sorted out just need to do soon star test to see how go my collimation is. Cut the base. Put the wheels on. Made a rap for the back door now to see if everything works. When i cut the base i reused the black strip and re glued it back on where the cuts are so you would not no that it had been cut. Post some more photos tomorrow to stuff to at moment Phil.
