Brilliant conditions last night , light breeze , no dew , descending first quarter moon and excellent seeing
Started off imaging NGC 104 or 47 Tuc globular cluster for an hour or so, haven’t image this glob for over a year , then slewed across to NGC 55 String of Pearls galaxy in Sculptor ,imaged this magnitude 8 galaxy until 3.00am
Same set up
NexDome Obs
8”f5 GSO newt
EQ6-R pro mount
ZWOASI2600MC set in Ascom to highest dynamic range gain 0 , cooled to -10C
PHD2 Multistar guiding ( 0.60 to 0.70 arc sec error total )
Tracking and Goto EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Captured in APT
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 OSC Linear Data Set

Thanks Mike
Appreciate it
Yeh I thought 47 Tuc was one of my best results in years , clean image
In regards to 55 remember I’m using a OSC for galaxies, separation of gases ( colours ) is limited with the Bayer matrix , also aperture and focal length are
my limiting factors too, I’d love a 12” but can’t fit it in my Dome. I might try a re process using another option in Startools and see how we go
More data might help a tad too
Cheers
Martin
