Sundog

While out at at Moreton Bay on Friday evening I noticed a sundog - the first time I had seen one. Had the camera (as usual ) so I snapped off a few shots. It was only visible to one side of the sun (does this only count as half a sundog?) and from what I have seen on the web it is a weak example - but sundog none the less.

nothing wrong with that Andrew, and it certainly does count as as a sundog/parhelia, that is quite common to only see one, and not the pair, in fact that is the norm IMO.
Sometimes when there is a chance of a pair, thicker lower cloud will obscure its twin, and sometimes move and cover the other one, while revealing the other one previoulsy covered lol
anyway nice one, thanks for posting! love it, love he transient stuff, as opposed to the usual sitting duck stuff
