Another good night at Murrumbateman
The problem with buying a larger hard disk for my laptop is that I now have 120Gb of data to offload and process, instead of 90 Gb :-(
At least I got about 3 hours of imaging before this one filled up.
About halfway through the session I went a bit silly and cranked on even more focal length, the last half of the isession was done at a focal length of 14.6m, f/45. Jupiter was 400 pixels across :-) I guess I'll find out later if that was a good idea or not, but it seemed like a fun idea at the time...
Images coming soon.

Awesome! Can't wait to see them.
Did you use the DX for them all, or did you try some with the DMK?

Mike, I didn't have the forumulas to convert the DMK register settings to actual gain and gamma, so I couldn't really set the cameras up the same.
btw I have that info now, it's available off the TIS website here for those who own DMK21AF04 cameras:
ftp://tis_ftp:Imaging199@ftp.theimag...anual.user.pdf
For some bizarre reason this is not listed in the "resources" or "downloads" areas on their site...

Here's one of the f/45 images, not sure I'll keep trying this extreme setting, but it came out ok.
cheers, Bird

yeah, probably for a good reason... and when the sun came up I discovered that we were covered in smoke haze, might explain why things were a lot dimmer that I thought should be...
I'm back out here again tonight, we've got the phone and adsl connected at the new place - internode is a very nice ISP :-) so I'll be browsing for a while before getting some shuteye with the alarm set for 1.30 tomorrow morning.
Still lots of smoke haze around, hope it buggers off before 3am tomorrow morning...

There is a big burn off going on down near the border with NPWS, been affecting us on the coast for the last two weeks or so, been really bad here.

Have fun at SPSP!
Last night was pretty good, got a couple of runs that I'm going to keep for sure...
And now I'm back here again Friday night... I think I've seen my wife (Leisa) for about 2 hours in the last 3 days...
Fingers crossed for another clear night, I've bought another 300Gb disk out tonight to help, I'm seriously up to my eyeballs in data.
