NGC 4945 Galaxy

Hi Guys,

Taken on Sunday night as well NGC4945 galaxy. taken with the UHC-S filter as i didn't want to knock my focus for neb objects. Wasn't enough data only 6 x 5 minutes at ISO200 with the C10 canon 300d modified. autoguided with EQ6 orion ED80 + meade DSI II.

I think i have taken better galaxy images with the DSI II than now the 300d modded don't know why.

Cheers

It may be a simple matter of adjusting the colour balance in your processing software. In IRIS I find 1.38: 1.00:1.23 RGB works well for the modded Canon

Try without the UHCS, I find that as galaxies are broadband in light colours, the UHCS isnt that effective and a considerable amount of galaxy light is also blocked. If you run the same exposures without the UHCS you will be pleasantly surprised.
That is quite good for a benula filtered galaxy image, so will really do well without the filter
