10" LX200R, DSI Pro, 3.3 reducer, 26mm Plossl

I have an as new (purchased July 06 from Astro Optics, Crows Nest) 10" Meade LX200R Ritchey - Chretien Scope for sale with Autostar Suite software, DSI pro CCD, colour filters, filter holder, F3.3 reducer and adapters, Series 5000 26mm Plossl eyepiece, plus all the cords to make it hum! This is the telescope that ALMOST discovered Comet Lovejoy - I was searching near Eta Indus on the morning of the 15th March and in hindsight must have been a whisker from the comet. The view through the scope with the RC optics is fabulous - truly clear almost to the edge of the FOV.

The scope is christened "BKM2304" and a little plaque sits on the backplate with same. It means, B for Comet Bennett which I saw from my bedroom window in 1970, K for Comet Kohoutek which, try as I might, I didn't see in 1973, M for my Japanese colleague, Shigeki Murakami who co - discovered Snyder - Murakami in 2002.; And 2304 for my postcode.

The scope and equipment are in MINT condition - well stored and carefully handled. Everything is kept in it's original box except the field tripod which I store in the spare room under a sheet.
I am asking $4,950 for the lot! Yes that's right, just $4,950 the lot! Sorry but I won't break the kit up.

Why am I wanting to sell such a great instrument? The usual answer - I'm upsizing!
