Monkey SHO

An old favourite in SHO. I finally found a second hand Sii filter and cooled ASI1600 courtesy of fellow IIS members. Only 45 minute of each at F5 1000mm but this is a better combo.

Nice one Ray.

Form and detail starting to appear.

Where you using the C8?

If so check the collimation.

Stars are wonky at the edges and you can lose detail.

Nice to have a few clear nights!

Clear nights would be great.

A good image Ray, I can see what Peter was say about the stars around the border, nearly coma like. Top image none the less.

I like the SHO palette on this one Ray. Not always a fan, but this works for me :-)

Thanks Robert. A fairly restrained pallet with a lot of green as the Ha in Monkey/Skull is very strong and so a lot of green in SHO. The ghoulish green is quite apt perhaps but i have worked out i can bring back the blue of the overlaid object by quadrupling the Sii which is a bit weak and doubling the Oiii which is surprisingly strong. I think i might keep this approach when i get more new data. Old data useless now.
