Another spider

The Tarantula, whilst being a very popular target, is not one that I find easy to get a pleasing colour balance. This time it was not made any easier by my new cataract-free eyes with more blue sensitivity! So I left it as "natural" as I reasonably could

This 2hour RGB shot was taken in February during a very small window in the clouds over the Macedon Ranges.

300mm f/8 Officina RiDK, Moravian G4-9000, ASA DDM85A. FOV 38' x 35'.

Minimal processing in PI and Photoshop.

Very cool shot. Love the delicate colorful whispy details. Cluster are very well resolved and your star colors is very good too. One for the cool wall.

That's a sensational Tarantula image. One of the nicest I have seen for quite a while.

Greg.

An awesome arachnid, I can see a pair of eyes looking at me and the spider looks ready to pounce. Nice one indeed

Having never photographed it, that's "natural" colours? Wow, this thing is crazy.
Honestly, it's the scariest looking nebula in the sky... and I love it!

Great picture.

Thanks for your comments. Of course there's a heap of signal available from 2070, but it's not so easy to tame! (Not by me anyway). Glad you liked the result.

Thanks Kevin. Appreciate your comments. Your shot and this demonstrate how differently the same object can be depicted. Viva la difference!
