Orion M42

Last night was terrible, heavy cloud cover with just a few holes. I set up my gear anyway just in case of a change later on and took a few shots of Orion before the moon rose too high. Needless to say the rest of the night was a washout. Hoping for clear skies tonight.

Anyway here's a couple of samples.

200mm F5 Newt + EQ6 Pro + 350D + MPCC .... processed Photoshop 5.5

Wide field shot - 30sec @ISO800 unguided
Close up crop greyscale - 20sec @ISO800 unguided

They're great Steve, especially for such short exposures.

Tracking looks good!
