the page opens up straight away to whatever your pc's time is and i am guessing it picks your location via IP or something?

Does it know your location? I'm not sure it does, it's just showing a night sky view all sphere around, there's no horizon that I've seen, which would be the only reason you need location.

nope, my mistake... but if you click onteh time icon you can put your location in...
i think it assumes US or something otherwise.

wow. I can see why you'd like it, Roger, it would make identifying galaxies in images a lot easier. Certainly has potential!

Yes and no... yes because it looks fun and interesting.. .but it doesn't have the quantity of galaxies in it I need. They seem to stop pretty sharp when zooming in, much more are present in TheSky on my PC, but even there I don't have enough ....
