My daughter contacted me today.
This is no big deal for most of you. I have not seen her for thirty three years.
We hope to get together soon. We will remain in contact. there is so much lost time to make up for.

I'm not a Dad, but I can easily imagine how wonderful this must feel, for both of you. Families are indeed special, and any moments together, no matter how fleeting or how long in between, are certainly precious.

Bert, excellent news I'm sure it will work for the best.
Five years ago this August I found I had another 3 brothers and 2 sisters apart from the 2 brothers and 2 sisters I know, make the most of the time you'll now have together. Life is so short!

hey bert, my daughter turns 7 tomorrow and I treasure our mateship.......it is magic.
No doubt there will be nervousness, but I am sure you will have a great time.

She stood out in her new family, intelligent, outspoken, relentless in her quest for new knowledge etc. Sad I was not there to back her up.

I didn't see my daughter for 15 years, then she came to live with me. It was terrific. And you are talking about 33 years! WOW!
