M77 - Total Disaster

After moving to Sequence Generator Pro, it has been nothing short of a disaster.
After the 3rd night (and day), I still can't produce anything...

Problem after problem, I just can't get it to work.

Today I have to look at replacing the ZWO native driver with the Ascom driver.

Perhaps a silly question but if SGP is giving you three night's worth of grief why not switch back to whatever you were using before?

I’m using my new 2600MC without any issues thus far and ZWO advised to use the Ascom driver not the Native driver which I’m using in APT
Ascom is the safest option with most Astro Gear

Hi Craig, not a silly idea, but I actually paid money for SGP (silly me).

This is (one of many) issues:
1: Connect camera.
2: Start cooling
3: Start imaging

Then find the 'cooling' was now saying 'heating'. WTF?
Of course I didn't notice this until a few hours later.

But being fair to SGP, I'm sure my problems are all in the setup.

I use the ZWO native driver in Voyager but I always used the ASCOM driver in SGP.

I've only ever used the ASCOM driver with several ZWO cameras without issue. The native one in SGP does allow you to change the gain within SGP which is useful for mono cameras (upping the gain for narrowband) but doesn't make any difference for OSC.

Maybe list your issues. There's a fair few of us using SGPro. And zwo cameras. It did take me a while to get used to it.

Hi Peter,

This book helped me to get a better SGPro understanding. I am much more confortable now, although far from be an experienced user. By the way, I do not know the author and do not have any other conflict of interest
