Hello there from across the ditch ,
I am planning a 3 week camper holiday to the South Island of your stunning country with my family . As there will be a new moon ( September) I was wondering if there are any observing parties or get togethers which we could attend. I am keen to sample your pristine skies , crisp and clear . We are planning 5 days in Queenstown , hopefully Skiing but the rest of the time is flexible and would like to get to know the friendly locals Cheer Zubenel

I'm friendly but not a Kiwi, Zubenel! Mt John Observatory at Lake Tekapo in the S Island is well worth a visit. Went there last year & thoroughly enjoyed both the day and night tours (night includes telescope viewing). Fabulous scenery, good knowledgable tour guides, very interesting research facility.
