Tried reprocessing one of my Toucam images from last week using ppm centre, separate RGB processing in Registax 4, mild LR deconvolution and RGB combine in Astra Image as described in Mike's tutorial. Time consuming but worth the effort.
The one on the left, which I prefer, looks like a flat photo of Joop, whereas the one on the right looks spherical, very 3D. But I feel it lacks definition around the planets limb.
It's definitely smoother, sharper and the details more well defined. Probably just a bit overdone on the curves/gamma reduction which is making the limbs darker than they probably should be.
Otherwise, an excellent reprocess. Glad the tut worked for you.
