LX90 experts - I let the smoke!

Hi All

I was trying to get the scope and computer talking, this went well.

Then I made up a straight cable to replace the curly cord between the scope and Audiostar handset. When I powered up, there was a pop and no power to the LED light on the scope.

I had the wires for this replacement cord in the correct order, but, reversed them

ie should be connected from pin 1 to pin 8 etc, but, I connected pin 1 to pin 1.

I can't see obvious burned tracks, in the scope power board or handset.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I suspect I will be talking to Bintel and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for any help.

Philip

Hi Glen

Yes, I did search, but, the link you found has a better diagram to help check the board. Thanks for that.

Mind you, at the moment, I can only get at one side. Haven't had time to check further as yet.
