Jupiter March 10 in multispectral

Here are some images from the weekend. The South Equatorial Disturbane (SED) is extremely dark in the strong methane absorption band (889 nm). This indicates that the atmosphere is clear down to a great depth allowing resulting in increased absorption of the 889 nm light. Why this should be so is not known since very few images of any SED in methane absorption light have been taken.

Oval BA is coming into view and is methane bright indicating that it is an elevated structure. Oval A8 is also visible in the southern hemisphere near the CM and is also methane-bright.
