TSX PHD 2 W10 help

Hello, after a very long time without any energy for photons I am trying to get my head back into the 'space'
I have a Lenova think centre small form factor pc running Windows 10 pro in the obs- so far it has worked well with TheSkyX and SharpCap , APT etc.
plus PhD 2.
Today I explored the possibility of direct guiding (no ST 4 cable) so I down loaded the ascom driver 2x for the Sky x and for some reason in Phd it says it is not set up properly-I still had my cables attached but I guess it is a software step I missed-help please
graz

Probably best to review the PHD2 error logs and see exactly what it's saying.
Might help narrow it down.

Hi Graham

You need to ensure that pulse guide or direct guide is ticked in the ASCOM settings if you haven't already.
