Saturn 4.3.2007

Hi all

Nexstar8i + ToUCam Pro II + Orion Tri-mag barlow + Baader IR/UV-cut, seeing 6/10.

Wow! I can't wait to get a Saturn that looks that good through and 8" scope and a ToUcam.

(Maybe in 2020 when Saturn is a bit higher in the sky for us )

Thanks for the positive comments. I like to avoid overprocessing, I almost never use unsharp-mask (post registax) and I never neatimage my pictures. However i hand pick my frames and process the rings and the disc separately.

I know that these images i have posted are not the limit of the 8" scope, I am still waiting for the good weather to come.

Saturn was little under 40 degrees high in the sky when i took this image, how high is it there [1ponders]?.

Very nice image! Only 40deg for finland? Was it taken early in the evening?

It reached 40deg max elevation for us.
