Sharp Star 76EDPH First light

First light with the 76EDPH & the results look promising. After the usual fiddling about with a new set up I managed to get a couple of images on the first night.
Only ten minutes total exposure on each, Omega Centauri & M42,both 10 x 2 mins. Comments welcome. A bit of a review by me here; http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...d.php?t=181340
Cheers,
Tony

Congratulations on first light.
Nice images - looks like a very capable little scope.

They look great Tony. I'd be happy with it too, great results with such short exposures. I wouldn't expect anything less for the price they're selling for. In this case, you certainly got what you paid for, a quality product. With a native focal length of around 400mm, you'll be able to capture those larger targets like M31, Witch head nebula, the LMC and Rosette nebula in one go and the detail should be very impressive. Nice purchase and thanks for the review.

Both great shots. At some stage I'm going to have to get a small refractor, these look like a great option.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments & interest. As you pointed out Mick, they're not a cheap scope but the quality is at a level that doesn't leave you disappointed,
it's a pleasure to use & it just does what it's supposed to do with no dramas & yes I'm looking forward to imaging those DSO's you mentioned.
Cheers,
Tony
