Jupiter - sunday morning 11th March

Hi all

Got up at 4am both Saturday and Sunday mornings, for clear skies but there was fairly heavy dew and very ordinary seeing. I deleted all avi's from Saturday morning, but Sunday was slightly better with about average seeing.

This (L)RGB image was made by stacking 350 frames from each channel, with each channel captured at 15fps for 35 seconds.

Transparency was not good with dew forming on my mirror, so gain was at maximum giving the image more grain than i'd like.

I'm hoping for a morning of very good seeing now, with Jupiter above 70° before dawn - but it's getting tougher as the temperature starts dropping before dawn.

Anyway it was a week since my last image, so i'm reasonably happy with this but of course wishing for better

Thanks for looking.

Yep.

Know what you mean about the seeing and dew on the weekend.

My gear was dripping with condensation and it was a real challenge to keep the corrector plate on my 9.25 clear.

Like you, I got up both mornings and similarly have since deleted my AVIs

Kudos to you for processing some of them.
