Venus in UV and IR bands

I think my best pic in this season. I'm waiting for a good seeing evening to get a better image using my powermate 2,5x on this difficult subject.

Regards, Anto

Excellent! I'm keen to try to get some good Venus images this year. I've seen some good results with the Schott filter - have you tried it? THoughts about it?

I haven't seen many images with this kind of filters. I think that the BG24 and more the UG11 schott filters are good for venus imaging (1mm version) coupled with an IRcut.
The band width is not as tight as the UVpass Baader. I think that to obtain more contrasted details on Venus is important to cut any kind of light different from UV and more the BW is tigt more the contrast is assured.
