M.A.S. - a big thanks to Mike Salway

Just a quick thank you, Mike, for addressing us at our Macarthur Astronomical Society meeting tonight as the guest speaker. It's a long way from the central coast to come down to the south west and then go back up in a single evening - so thank you for spending your time for us.

Your talk on planetary imaging techniques was incredibly detailed and informative, and I for one learned a lot from it. It's a huge subject, and one that would be very difficult to address over the limited time of a general club meeting, but I thought that you touched on so many aspects of this complex medium without dwelling unnecessarily on any. Very well done

Everyone was impressed with your level of knowledge on this complex aspect to the hobby.

Once again - thanks very much

Time to fire up my ToUcam again...........

Mike,
You peaked a lot of members interest, I see a flurry of dob mounted imaging flourishing in our club.
Thankyou for your friendly, informative presentation.
I hope you will make a return trip soon.

No problem, guys.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about what I love! I hope my passion for it rubbed off on a few.

You've got a great group and a great bunch of members. I hope to see a few more as regulars on IIS too! I hope the stickers got snapped up

I ended up getting home at about 23:10, not too bad. About 1.5hrs drive home. The worst part was that there was nowhere to stop (servo) for a drink until penant hills road!

now - if you had a manager Mike
he would have made sure there were Tim Tams and Ginger Beer in the dressing room before your talk and a couple of cans of Coke and a big M voucher for your trip home
