I've never heard much about the space industry in Australia, but your post made me do some research and I found out that Australia will cooperate with NASA in the field of robotics, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence. Australia is slated to provide technologies in the areas of robotics, automation, and remote asset management similar to those currently being used in the Australian mining industry.

Not surprising. The majority of the staff at JPL involved with the mars rovers are all aussies. That's why the landmarks on mars they name as they go have aussie connotations.

Interesting, didn't know that - thank you Marc. I had a pleasure to meet Abigail Allwood in Brisbane a few years ago when we took some of our students to a workshop at QUT.
